Water Damage

When your home has been damaged from water, flooding or leaks, you need the company that can respond immediately and has the expertise and equipment to properly restore your property. We use state of the art water damage inspection and extraction equipment to locate the moisture and remove it as quickly as possible. Our highly trained & certified technicians will locate, monitor and document the entire drying process from start to finish so that you know your property is correctly dried back to its normal dry standard. Mold may form in as little as 24 to 48 hrs. so we recommend that all affected materials must be treated or removed to help prevent any secondary damages. Any material that may become wet or damaged for longer than 72 hrs. may be considered a cat-3 water damage loss and will need to be addressed according to IICRC cat-3 standards. 3rd party IEP’s will make final determination on category and report back to contractor depending on the extent of damages & materials required to be removed. Technicians will provide supporting evidence and follow standard protocols recommended and discussed with IEP to ensure quality and effectiveness. IICRC S-500 standards applied.

Cat-1 Water Damage

We address 3 types of water damage such as “clean" water, Grey” water & “black” water which are listed into 3 categories. Category 1 water damage is the least severe of all categories under IICRC standards. These may result from things such as broken pipes, water supply lines, sinks and or tubs that may have overflowed.

This is typically a clean source of water with no risk of causing sickness or discomfort. Odors may indicate the water source is not Cat-1.

Cat-2 Water Damage

Category 2 is typically the most common of water damage we find. After water has passed through other materials such as drywall or carpet it can become grossly contaminated which is the cause to treat the area with precautions.

Cat-2 water damage may result from things such as; aquarium leaks, toilet bowl overflows (w/no fecal), waterbed leaks, dishwashers, cloths washer or hydrostatic pressure causing it to seep from below grade. The affects of cat-2 water may result in potential concerns to cause sickness & discomfort and should not be left untreated or to dwell in the structure for extended periods of time.

Special steps and procedures are taken after a cat-2 to help prevent any further cross contamination as well as treat any affected salvageable materials while restoring the property back to its pre-loss condition. PPE is required for all remediators as well as any 3rd party or subcontractors on-site or in the contained work area!

Cat-3 Water Damage

Cat-3 water damage is the most severe category. Occupant and technician safety & health is our first priority when it come to this degree of water damage.

This may result in a grossly contaminated water intruding from sources such as discharge from toilets that originate beyond the p-trap, sewer or septic back up, ground water flooding into the structure from outside or due to the presence of pet urine or fecal that water has traveled through.

Special steps & procedures are implemented and followed after any cat-3. Appropriate biocides & disinfectants may be selected to treat the affected areas. PPE is required for all remediators as well as any 3rd party IEP’s or subcontractors on-site or in the contained work area! EPA guidelines for all products are strictly followed to prevent any possible off gas of any VOC’s that may present a hazard.

We aim to use all ECO friendly products but there may be times more rigorous products may be used to ensure cleaning effectiveness.
